passing by and stopped

I visited a friend who’s working for the German Police. He was preparing for his next shift and some bullets were lieing on his table. I liked that, not the bullets themself but somehow they looked elegant.
Ich war bei einem Freund zu Besuch der bei der Polizei arbeitet. Er bereitete sich auf seine nächste Schicht vor und es lagen ein paar Patronen auf seinem Tisch. Diesen kühle und gleichzeitig elegante Eindruck wollte ich gerne festhalten.
